Coffee Color Card

The color card below reflects the results of dyeing with ground coffee. The wool was alum-mordanted prior to dyeing. Both white and natural grey wool were dyed for comparison. Note that white wool from different breeds of sheep will result in significantly different colors. Compare the results of Corriedale and Friesian. Both were dyed together, yet there is a noticeable difference between them.

All samples on this card were dyed together in the same dyebath.
