Fair Isle Knitting List

What This List Is:
This list is for anyone interested in Fair Isle knitting. All levels of knitters are encouraged to join, post, comment, and offer or request help. Although the main topic of this discussion list should be about any aspect of Fair Isle knitting, diversions from the main topic are not forbidden because that is the best way to get the free flow of information. There will be times that list members will disagree with each other, and individual opinions should be respected. List members should feel free to disagree and express their own opinions, but flaming will not be tolerated.

There is only one restriction on your freedom of expression: no ads, please. There are enough other Web-based venues to buy, sell, or trade fiber-related items. If you are looking for a particular type of yarn, accessory, etc., there is no problem posting your query to the list, but I don't want this to become a forum for vendors to hawk their wares.

Thanks to Claudia Krisniski, we have a group project. It is the Wee fair Isle baby sweater. If you are new to fair isle knitting, or just want something quick and fun to knit, please check it out. I will be adding to the project as it goes along, including the finished sweaters that participants knit. If you have specific questions regarding the sweater, please address them to the Fair Isle Knitting group. Someone in the group will be more than happy to help you.

This list is hosted through YahooGroups. To minimize potential virus problems, I have set the list up so all attachments are disregarded and not sent to list members. If you have patterns, photos or other files you want to make available to list members, as a member of Fair Isle Knitting, you can upload them to the Fair Isle Knitting list area.
